Lync 2013 Cumulative Update Installer Error

Background:  There are many websites offering advice on how to resolve errors installing the Windows Fabric Update for Microsoft Lync server:

I offer this solution because it was unique to my situation.  Hopefully it helps someone else.

Error:  There were errors during the installation process.  For details, see the log file at c:\LyncMedia\Lync_patching-LYNC   

Solution:  Search the Ocscore.msp…_log.txt for the key word "error":

GPO that prevents unsigned PowerShell from running was mucking up the install!!  If someone from Microsoft reads this blog: Please ensure all Microsoft patches and PowerShell scripts are signed!!
